Following Dante

My friend, Alighieri, be my guide
I want to see all of our sins
Show me the way to where I'll be
When faith and hope will leave my soul

Lead me through the forest
Lead me up that hill
In front of these narrow gates
That will bring us to the Limbo

"ALL HOPE ABANDON HE WHO ENTERS HERE"

The message is clear, a real warning
No turning back , no way out
For our souls in the quest of Truth
I won't have a second thought
Because I have nothing to leave
Hope is the one who abandoned me

We enter these doors
With no fear and less hope for glory
From now we are the guests of Lucifer
And the nine circles of Hell will be our den

On the first part of our trip 
We visit the highest spheres of the desolated land
Here is the muddy pit
Where are rotting for eternity
The Shameless, the Greedy and the Hateful

When we'll be done
Consoling those hearts full of regrets
Dante and I will go deeper in the fire
exploring the darkest circles of the saddest Kingdom

It is the land of Pain, Suffering and Calvary
Punishment of those who failed
To please the only Judge of our souls
The lover of the Righteous, executioner of the Wicked

I walk by those lands of Sin and Debauchery
Following Dante's footsteps
Visions more and more despicable
Of the Human's faults and nemesis

We finally reach the brim of the ninth circle
To enter Satan's den, Old Nick's palace
Master of the fire, Lord of the damned
From my awaken eyes I can see them
Those infamous three faces of Evil
Punishing the traitors until the end of Times
Livid and pale is the face of Impotence
Image of our lack of will to act
Burning red, the one of Hate
That has led us to kill our brothers
Sullied Black, for Ignorance
Which is the end of all we built

Now I'm so scared
But Dante's strong
And with the help
Of acolytes
We get away from the Devil
Faces of Lust won't hold us back
As we rise up , back to the skies
I've made it to the end of Hell
