Here is my new musical crush, well it's not newer than the one I had for Papa J ( you can check the article about Papa J here ! ), but I felt like I also had to write something about 2080, since his music is just flirting with perfection.

2080 is a french artist who is into electronic / chiptune music and is strongly influenced by the video games universe, especially the old school gaming (I ♥ my Megadrive too), this influence is really felt in the sounds of his tunes. Added to this charming universe and colorful references that his style have embraced, 2080 is a perfectionist artist who works really hard to get the best results with his music and with his pixelart visuals as well. My favorite production from 2080 today is the music video for the tune "My Megadrive". I invite you to check it out here to realize how talented this guy is. He did all by himself, so much respect for that !




2080 has already produced 2EPs, "The Backup" and "Nerd to Geek", which are avalaible on his Soundcloud ! But as perfectionist and passionate as he is, 2080 did not want to stop here and really wanted to give the fans some physical content, with an physical CD for his next production, so in order to produce a "nice object", as he says, he has launched a Kickstarter project to raise founds, I invite you to go check it out, to have 2080 explain his project better that I might do, and maybe participate if ou like his music and universe to get your own copy of his next EP : ElectroChipDiscoPop and even more goodies, as you can choose what you get, depending on how much you help.

As I said, 2080 is a talented guy, but also a hard worker, and he deserves much respect. So check his tunes out, give him some love for his work and help him out if you want to !
